Scott Pyles to speak at The Gathering of Men Luncheon, Thursday, November 10th

Scott Pyles

Scott Pyles

Field Director & Ministry Team Leader at Medical Centers of West Africa (MCWA)

After being involved in business in his early adult life, Scott Pyles and his wife Lee felt called to go to a remote part of the world to take the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to those who had never heard that glorious message.  In 1992 they moved to the west African country of Cameroon and joined with several other missionaries in going to the far north of that country to establish a hospital and communicate the Gospel to the Fulani people.  For 24 years, Scott and Lee have faithfully pursued their call.

Scott is well known to many men in Baton Rouge and is greatly appreciated for his zeal for our Lord's kingdom's advance.  I first knew Scott when he was a student at LA Tech, and I am very thankful to God for his friendship, as are many others in the State of Louisiana.

I should mention that Scott is NOT going to give a talk on missions. He is going to speak on THE MISSION TO WHICH EACH OF US IS CALLED!

It's going to be a great day at The Gathering.  I hope you will begin strongly encouraging men to come and be with us this Thursday!

Jimmy Kaiser to speak at The Gathering of Men, Thursday, November 3rd

Jimmy and Lori Kaiser
We are very happy that Jimmy Kaiser will be our speaker at The Gathering of Men this Thursday, November 3rd.  Jimmy is Executive Vice-President (Business Services) of Star Service, a mechanical contractor here in Baton Rouge.   I have known Jimmy since his days at Tech 35 years ago.  It was then that he committed his life to following our Lord Jesus, and he has been actively involved in ministry ever since. Jimmy and his wife Lori have been married for 32 years and have three children, and, as Jimmy says, they are "proud grandparents."  I hope that you will invite your friends to come to our luncheon at First Baptist Church to hear Jimmy as he proclaims God's Word.
